ABOUT ME
I paint energy.
Every line, color, and texture I create is a reflection of movement a dialogue between chaos and balance. Since 2015, I’ve been shaping a visual language that speaks through freedom, noise, and emotion. Each piece is born from instinct, capturing moments of intensity, silence, and transformation. My paintings are not just colors on canvas they are fragments of lived experience, echoes of places and moods, a trace of my own evolution as an artist. Art is my pulse a way to stay alive, to speak without words, to connect with others through energy itself.
And this is my full story.
It all began long before I knew what art truly was with walls covered in color and mystery. As a kid, I didn’t understand the meaning behind those painted surfaces, only that they spoke to me. Years later, a movie revealed the secret graffiti was not chaos, but a language. From that moment, I was hooked sketching, painting, and searching for rhythm in color. My grandparents gave me my first spray cans, and with one hiss of paint, everything changed. That spark of curiosity grew into energy the energy that still drives me today. This is where MAEZO was born.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
2007 – 2013
STRUCTURE AND LINES
2013 – 2015
After elementary school, I entered a technical high school. A new world, new faces, new directions. There I met Karel, who shared same interest for hip-hop, drawing, and design. His father owned a small advertising firm where we spent countless hours experimenting with logos and printing. That’s where our brand FF was born two mirrored F’s in a circle, symbolizing balance and connection. We printed T-shirts, made stickers, and built our own little universe of creativity and freedom. FF wasn’t just a logo. It was our attitude. That time taught me how to blend chaos with structure freedom with precision.
I remember the moment clearly. Sitting in class, replaying years of sketches and colors in my head, I knew I needed something new. A name that would define me. Not just a tag, but a symbol of who I truly am. I wanted it to sound strong, meaningful, unforgettable. “MAESTRO” came first, powerful, but too common. Then, out of nowhere, MAEZONE. It hit me like lightning. It felt alive, electric, mine. I wrote it over and over, but over time it felt heavy, too long, like breaking my hands while painting. So I cut it down. MAEZO. Simple. Fresh. Free. The moment I wrote it, I knew, this is forever.
CALL ME MAEZO
2015 – 2016
BIRTH OF A BRAND
2016 – 2018
I had a name and with it a direction. I sketched endlessly, page after page, shaping my own universe a place where everything I felt could exist freely. I designed my first logo, MAEZONE crowned above the letters a symbol of power and self-responsibility. I printed my own clothes, first as a uniform, later for friends. But paper wasn’t enough. A local carpenter gave me my first wall, saying: “White walls are meant to be colorful.” That wall became my world. I learned proportions, layers, contrasts. Graffiti, airbrush, sneakers, skateboards I experimented endlessly. A creative chaos that shaped my rhythm and my world.
Time passed, and life took me to Brno, where I started university a new city, a new rhythm, but less time to paint. On weekends I returned home, adding small pieces to my wall by the carpentry shop, until it slowly disappeared under stacked wood and with it, a part of my freedom. Between studies and silence, I began to feel pressure building inside. Late at night I drew small sketches, but it wasn’t enough. One day, exhausted, I found an old canvas and a few half-empty sprays. No plan. No goal. Just color green, purple, red, white. Chaos and emotion poured out. When I finished, I felt calm. The next morning I saw it raw, imperfect, but real. My beginning. A new path, painted from within.
DROP AND SPLASHES
2018 – 2019
THE GOLDEN PHASE
2019 – 2022
After my first meeting with canvas, everything started to flow. The garage turned into my studio, my sanctuary. Light, paint, music, and chaos filled the room. Each painting became a ritual, a release. That’s how DirtyFunkStyle was born the fusion of dirt and funk, imperfection and elegance. My first exhibition in a small café proved it had meaning. People came, asked, connected most paintings found new homes. Soon came more series, Millennium, my proudest. A website, gallery offers, a book feature dreams turning real. Standing among my works in a bank, I realized, MAEZO wasn’t just a name. It was a way of life pure energy on canvas.
After every rise comes a fall. In 2022, my world stopped. Loss and grief drained every color, every sound even MAEZO disappeared. 2023 was empty no art, no light, just silence. The studio turned to dust; I painted only to forget. Each stroke was hollow, a shadow of what once was. Maezo was dead and I was just existing. Then, at the turn of 2023 and 2024, something shifted. I stood before a large canvas and painted “END or NEW Beginning.” Later, I called it Transition Point. When it was done, I whispered, “This is either my last, or my very first painting.”
STEPS IN DARKNESS
2022 – 2025
NEW BEGINING
2025
Over time, I began to pull myself together. I painted, not with purpose, but to fill the emptiness. Life became routine, safe, silent. Then one summer day, the phone rang the bank was ending my exhibition. I packed the paintings, brought them home, and entered the dusty studio. The smell of paint was still there. Something inside me moved. I opened my old sketchbooks. Memories, colors, my whole life in paper and paint. And in that moment, the energy returned. MAEZO was reborn. From the dust of the past, a new spark rose proof that every ending is just another beginning.
